The report stated

Like and share” schemes using horrendous images, such as maimed animals, suffering children, and tortured women, now account for almost 1 percent of all scams, according to the study. The latest example is a malicious “girl killed by her husband” video, infecting users with adware and malware.

The apparent video shows a Asian Girl's head is being chopped by a sword as she kissed another man. The video was being shared on most of the Facebook users' Timeline as well as Groups and Fraudulent Blogs and other websites. Some sources make the incident more interesting saying that her husband shoot the video and uploaded it on Internet.

As many of us know those videos are nothing but a way to plant trojans as well as adware and malware into the victims computer browser. To keep the spreading of scam video, scammers often create a situation where you can only see the video if your share it. Well it does not seems bad for firt sight, but the actual trick is that when you visit the final website it says to download a Plugin to play the video. Watching videos online may only require Adobe Flash Player. Many of internet user already have that and if you are using Google Chrome then flash plugin automatically comes with it.

In the name of Video Plugin the only thing they force you to download is Adware or Malwares.

So to be in the safe side, always keep your AV up to date and install patch your Adobe Flash Player.Never share or download plugins from a website which assures you to show viral videos. If you do, You are risking everyone's profile as well as yours.
