Women alleged for planting spyware on Police's Mobile

A california woman is charged with wiretapping a police officer by planting spyware in his Mobile, the Northern California District Attorney’s (DA's) office reports.

The police officer is said to be the alleged woman's ex husband. The suspect is 40 years old Kristin Nyunt who eavesdropped former Pacific Grove Cmdr. John Nyunt.

Kristin did the hacking using well known spyware software which are generally used for eavesdropping purposes.

The DA says that Kristin Nyunt was found using spyware products that included Mobistealth, StealthGenie, and mSpy. It is not like that the 40 years old lady did not know what she was doing as it is believed to say that the lady was aware of the fact that Spywares are used "for the purpose of the surreptitious interception of wire, oral, and electronic communications."

Kristin was already alleged for identity theft, computer fraud, residential burglary, forgery .

Among the identity theft, Kristin used to choose the victims from the secured Police Database and email system to which her ex husband gave her permission.

The data included sensitive personal identifying information of potential victims, such as tax numbers, addresses, and bank account numbers.

The fun fact is that the couple was the owner of an unlicensed private investigation firm, which also provided investigation for identity theft. Among the clients of that firm, most probably all fell victims of Kristin for identity theft.

While suggesting parents to install spyware or keyloggers in their childs' computer by Cops is a big question to internet freedom, Kristin's ex-husband as well as US Police Authority's excessive usage of surveillance Tools  nowadays adds more life to it.
